HMCS Cornwallis, Terra Nova 2/60,
Assault Course, 1960
Bob says "I think our divsional PO took the photos and sold copies to those who wanted them.
It is only our division (Terra Nova) in the shots".
Robert Berbeck says: "In the background on the Bay there used to be a very long jetty (dock)
where we did boat drill. The Frigates used to come in there and take recruits to sea for the day. I know we had to
jump off into the water on one ocassion.
I believe it wasn't long after we left that they started to tear the dock down".
Robert Berbeck is on his way up the wall.
This is Joe Broadfoot from Texada Island coming out.
The "Smoke House" (Tear Gas?).
Bob says: "I believe three actually made it across the pond without falling in. They jumped in or were thrown in as it was mid-July 1960 and it was hot out".
