April/May, 1968.

October 17, 2009 -- Al Malcomson (see his section) commented about these photos: "I vividly recall this as I became a Shellback at that ceremony. I believe that LSSG Gerry McAdam was King Neptune and PO1SN Campbell-Hope was Davey Jones. He had a set of really nice pens with the scroll nibs and he did our certificates up for us in fine style for a small fee. We crossed the line just south of Singapore and it was basically a "no day" routine. . . . "
