Buzz Shoen says: "My Mother was Charlotte Belle Irwin from Saskatoon. She came out to Victoria after Dad went into training at Naden and they were married. When Dad went overseas, she worked as a welder in the VMD shipyards in Victoria for the duration of the war. That is the only picture of her and the welding ladies I have ever seen."
