This photo was taken August 1961 on a visit to San Francisco – that's the Oakland Bay Bridge in the background. It is not the complete ship's company – most of the officers and petty officers are shown but fewer than half of the lower deck men (white uniforms) are in the photo – those present were probably that day's duty-watch or too hung-over to go ashore.
