HMCS Ste Therese

HMCS Ste Therese : Ashore in Tasu Sound.

Royal Canadian Navy : H.M.C.S. Ste Therese, ashore in Tasu Sound.

The Ste Therese explored Tasu Sound, Queen Charlotte Islands, for a few days -- I seem to remember that we did anti-submarine exercises at sea during the night then anchored in Tasu during the day. I'm not sure of some of the names (see the previous photo on this website), but I think the guy being hugged is AB Toth, next right is AB Ted Hamilton (Thorne), then next right is AB Demchuk. On the ground are LS Ralph Oggelsby at left and AB Mike Patterson at right.
Note: Thorne changed his surname to Hamilton (his step-father's name) a year or two after joining the Navy.

Can you provide names, details or corrections?
Please email Charlie Dobie.
