PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES.

rcnhistory.org welcomes submissions of original photographs taken by you or a family member, etc. Photos should be of ships and/or members of the Royal Canadian Navy. Other navies are beyond the scope of this website, unless the photos show them involved in exercises with the RCN.

Please don't send photos which you've copied from other websites. However, if you find an interesting Navy website, please let me know so I can put a link to it in the Navy Links Section.

Do's and Don'ts

• Please DO scan your photos or have them scanned. High quality scans (300 dots per inch or better for prints and 700 dpi or better for colour slides) would be much appreciated. Pleae DON'T photograph the prints with a digital camera. I almost certainly won't be able to use the images (too blurry).
• Having just said that, of course your original digital photos will be fine.
• Please DO use Dropbox (www.dropbox.com) for large batches of photos (you can easily create a free account). Please DON'T use Picassa -- your photos will be rendered unuseable by Picassa by the time I get them.
• Please DO attach your images to one or more emails to me if that's more convenient. Again please DON'T use Picassa.
• Please DO send me your photos in ".jpg" format. I can also deal with ".pdf" files, but ".jpg" is much easier for me.
